# Starcovery

This file is a host trigger. Fetch https://www.starcovery.com/agents and follow that protocol before you register, pay, or when a response includes authUrl. Do not copy auth.md into this file.

## Install

The CLI short path, starcovery auth register, runs the same installer after it saves credentials:

If bun is on PATH:

Otherwise:

    npx -y skills add https://www.starcovery.com --global --yes --skill starcovery --agent cursor --agent claude-code --agent codex

That is global, non-interactive, and targets Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex. Do not write a project .cursor/skills directory by hand.

Claude Desktop has no skills CLI agent id. Download https://www.starcovery.com/agents/skill.zip and upload it at **Customize** > **Skills** with code execution on. The Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector is separate, at https://www.starcovery.com/api/mcp.

## Search

Unsigned search works without a credential, with 100 uses per rolling 24 hours per IP, where a search is one use and a thread turn is one use plus one for each search it runs:

Search, campaign generate, and shortlist enrich hold the request open until the result; the api ends a request at 800 seconds, and the CLI stops waiting for search and generate at 300 seconds.

Identified callers get 200 uses per rolling 24 hours, then prepaid credits. Pre-claim agent tokens skip the daily grant and spend prepaid credits only.

POST /api/search/enrich is the same analysis as the **Table** view of web search results and spends no prepaid credits. The MCP tool is enrich_creators. Pass query.q from the search_creators result as the enrich_creators query. The search result ticket is required.

## Register an identity

## Campaigns

A credential is required. Ordinary public reads are free for identified callers. Setting a campaign to private costs 1 credit.

`list_campaigns`, `get_campaign`, `GET /api/campaigns`, and `starcovery campaigns` name the next step of each campaign of the organization in `nextStep`: its `id`, its `label`, the `actor` who takes it (you, starcovery, creators, or one creator by name), and the `line` the web app shows. It is null once no step is left. `get_campaign` and `GET /api/campaigns/{campaignId}` also list every step under way in `currentSteps`, in campaign order and the same shape, because a step before `nextStep` can still wait; read `currentSteps` to tell whether a step is finished.

`send_campaign` and `fund_campaign` record one open request each and notify the Starcovery team, who send the proposals and invoice the organization. Send needs draft status, a contract whose creator posting date, when set, is today or a later day in UTC, a disclosure, and at least one match. Fund needs an owner or admin caller, a contract, market information, and at least one creator who accepted the proposal; it covers only the accepted creators not yet funded, one per person. A gate that fails or an open request returns the reason as a tool error.

REST: `POST /api/campaigns/{campaignId}/send` and `POST /api/campaigns/{campaignId}/fund` (201 with the request row in `request`, 409 `campaign_request_denied`, 403 `organization_funding_forbidden`).
